
Taiwanese Government to grant Asylum to Tibetans?
The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) caucus of Taiwan asked the government to grant asylum to about 110 Tibetan refugees. DPP Legislator Kuan Bi-ling told a press conference that the Tibetan refugees had endured much hardship, traveling across the Himalayas from Tibet to India or Nepal before reaching Taiwan.

Don’t you think that if PRC becomes democratic and adopted a more humanistic approach to the minorities, Tibetans and Uyghurs might consider staying in China rather than asking China to vacate their land.
Another possibility if China accepts ROC claim that PRC is part of unified China. These Tibetans are opposing oppression in the hand of Communist government and it seems they would not mind a more democratic structure like the one present in Taiwan.

Yes I agree. In a democratic setup Tibetans will have more belief than a communist and autocratic one.
