Do you think that voting is the best way to control the reps in DC?
As with every election, in 2000 Repubs claimed to be voting for smaller government and over turning Roe v. Wade
In 2006 Dems voted for reps to end the war in Iraq.
The only time Americans had a say is when the entire nation rallied against granting amnesty for the criminals that sneak into the country. Voting had nothing to do with Joe and Jane America making reps do their bidding.
What are your thoughts on this?
The American people are too gullible. They will believe anything they are told to believe. Most don’t take the time to research the candidates and where they stand on the issues. They vote for them based solely on their TV ads they see. This is why the candidates spend the equivalent of the GDP of a small country to run for office. They know this, and those are the votes they are really going after. They don’t have a chance of getting the vote of someone that actually researches the candidates.
So, how do we clean up Washington? You really can’t. All you can do is replace one corrupt politician with another.
